Alvies, No. 13–3771, 2014 WL 251760 (N.D. Cal. Jan. 22, 2014). You must therefore provide the U.S. Copyright Office registration or document number of the allegedly infringed copyrighted work.

Truthfulness

Submitting a DMCA takedown request requires you swear to the facts under penalty of perjury. Violating this oath is a federal crime under 18 U.S.C. § 1621 and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Requirements

Your DMCA takedown request must include all required fields exactly as described. Failure to complete these requirements will not only invalidate your request, but may also result in civil or criminal penalties if violating the aforementioned 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) or 18 U.S.C. § 1621.

Data Processing
